APPEARANCE . . .

This Midlander stands at a slightly below average height for his race and gender, as well as showing nearly no indication of his Elezen blood. Skin is tanned and harbors an array of freckles upon it. One eye remains covered at all times in public, while its twin is seen a shade of vermillion with a slitted serpent-like pupil within. Wavy hair is coal black with natural lighter highlights in some places, leaving a smokey appearance to it. When lips part, sharp canines can be seen-- peculiar for a supposed normal Hyur. Ashwin dresses in a variety of attire-- aside from color. His wardrobe is nearly all black, consisting of both casual wear and heavy armor.

PERSONALITY . . .

This man can gradually become a huge jokester and troublemaker as you get to know him. He loves playing pranks and poking fun, sometimes coming off as extremely smug. He's a bastard. Often, he gets has a knack for getting himself into trouble.His naturally dark and broody appearance upon very first impression may ward strangers off. Once you've got him talking, though, he's quite sociable.Radiating confidence is but a façade, however, his usual smirk and grin given to hide inner turmoil and offer the impression that he's genuinely so prideful and proud. He'll lightheartedly flirt with almost any adult man who breathes, though he does not often take it further than just that.

ORIGINS . . .

Ashwin's parents were heretics from the wastelands of Coerthas. Their beliefs and practices prompted the 'creation' of a dragonblood child. This child was born with wyrmblood as a result of an experimental process-- and aided by the nature of Ishgardian Elezen's own blood, this gave him certain physical attributes as well as the apparent ability to morph his body between that of a human and a dragon itself.His mother and father and their group were apprehended and executed for their wrongdoings, but not before Ashwin was ushered away and escaped. His savior was an Elezen by the name of Zevuoix-- an outlier and spy in the group of heretics-- who took him as a child to try to offer him a somewhat normal-- but rather sheltered-- life within the walls of Ishgard. Zevuoix was blessed with status as well as friends and family of nobility relating to house Durendaire, of which eventually agreed to take the two men in while they began a new life of their own. Ashwin learned to fight with a lance, taking on small jobs around the city all the while keeping the nature of his true blood a secret.

He admired Dragoons throughout the years for a variety of reasons, some of which involving the tough relationship he had with the nature of his existence. His fighting style inevitably took what inspiration could be gathered from them, though there was the obvious matter of fact that he would never become one himself.Living in the city soon became tiring. It was exceedingly hard to keep his true identity a secret as he grew older. Therefore, once able to fend for himself in adulthood, he departed Ishgard to spend most of his time elsewhere in the realm. He would return on occasion, should whatever errand requiring him to do so be worth the danger.

EXTRA . . .

- His other eye is blind.- Ashwin can have the body of a Hyur with more wyrm-like features than usual-- horns, wings, tail, etc. While he can transform willingly, he does not want wish to. It only comes out by force when his emotions run too rampant (rage, sadness, etc.). This is scarce witnessed by others.
- Returns to Ishgard and surrounding areas on occasion, though he vows never to stay for long.- A bit of a nerd as he grew up reading many books in the library of the house he served in. His favorite genre is romance, though he isn't actually very experienced or knowledgeable about that topic.- He is a transgender male, and has top surgery.
